Cx Bio: Gender Equality Plan

Cx Bio is committed to fostering an inclusive, fair, and supportive working environment. Although we are a small company operating with a network of contractors, we recognize the importance of gender equality and apply these principles to all aspects of our governance, recruitment, collaborations, and research.
Importantly our board of directors and co-founder team is 50% male and female. Our longest standing contractors in the team are also 50% male and female, in which the female was a project manager. Company pay has been distributed at over 50% to females since inception.

1. Publication
This Gender Equality Plan (GEP) is a formal, public document, published on our website and signed by the board of directors.

2. Dedicated Resources
The Managing Director is responsible for implementing and monitoring this plan. As the company grows, dedicated roles for diversity and inclusion will be appointed.

3. Data Collection and Monitoring

Cx Bio commits to collecting and monitoring gender-disaggregated data annually for employees, contractors, and board members.

Key indicators include gender balance in recruitment, leadership, and project participation.

A short report will be prepared each year to track progress.
4. Training and Awareness
Cx Bio promotes awareness of gender equality and unconscious bias. We will:

Use freely available EU training resources and share them with employees and contractors.

Encourage all team members to participate in periodic awareness sessions.
5. Content Areas and Measures

Work–life balance and organisational culture: We support flexible working arrangements and ensure respect for work–life balance.

Gender balance in leadership and decision-making: Our Board includes female representation, and we commit to maintaining and expanding balanced participation as we grow.

Equality in recruitment and career progression: All recruitment and contracting processes are based on transparent, merit-based, and non-discriminatory practices.

Integration of gender dimension in research and innovation content: When relevant, projects will consider gender aspects in design, participation, and impact.

Measures against gender-based violence and harassment: Cx Bio enforces a zero-tolerance policy against harassment and discrimination of any kind.
6. Monitoring and Review
This plan will be reviewed annually, updated as needed, and progress will be published openly.
